Kyriakos Mitsotakis participating in the discussion “Climate Change: An Existential Crisis” The Harvard Business School Club of Greece (HBS Club), stressed a while ago:

“The ambitious climate targets we have set will require a review of our monetary policy in the medium to long term. The “tight jacket” of the Stability Pact is now anachronistic. It was anachronistic even before the climate targets were set, but now it is certain that we need additional funds for investments that will have a long-term return. “Finding the right balance between financing the energy transition and adhering to monetary discipline will be an interesting debate at next year’s European Summit.”
